The FINAL Project 365: 365/365

… and so ends my journey with Project 365.  it was exactly one year ago today that I started this adventure and, suffice to say, it has been quite a year. I’ve done a lot, gone through some changes, found love, lost love, and trusted in the Lord all the way.

In the end, it isn’t really about the collection of pictures or the amount of things that I’ve done, but the memories attached to each thing.  Every picture I’ve posted has meant something special to me in one way or another.  From the concerts, to the friends to the abstract art, to the different cameras used… each thing has brought a piece of my soul out to bear.

As if having this blog isn’t enough of a soul-bearing adventure.

But, to this end, I thank you for checking in on me on a daily basis, seeing what I’ve been up to and looking at a shared moment in my life.

Thank you Project 365 and 2009 for showing that images are all about the stories behind them, not necessarily the image itself.

2010 is gonna be an interesting one… thankfully, it definitely got off to a positive note :)

Project 365: Importance
As this is the second to last Project 365 photo, I felt the need to address something as far as the decade ending today and whatnot…
So, I went with one of my loves (sneakers) and why the Nike Air Zoom Generation is the most important sneaker release of this past decade.
Yes, I’m going with this shoe over the re-release of the classic Jordans, the Dunk, the Free, 360 Air, Formotion, the Gil-Zero, The Hyperdunk and the Kobe IV.
I’m going with this for two reasons: 1) this was LeBron’s first shoe. So, from a relevance standpoint, this shoe is already important. 2) it brought back the best cushioning set up Nike has ever come up with - zoom air front, max air back, carbon fiber midfoot.  The Air Zoom Generation shares this set up with two of the more iconic Nike Basketball shoes of the past 15 years: The Air Penny II and the Pippen II.
Both were stylish, ahead of the game, and very forgiving for players of any height/weight.
Unlike those two… the AZG has yet to be given the retro treatment.
So, what you’re looking at is ORIGINAL STATUS.
And yes, I will be rocking these more and more in the coming months.

Project 365: Red Velvet
If there’s anything that I’ve been having a lot of this past year, it’s been Red Velvet. Since I discovered that it was a usable topping at Menchies… then it’s been on with the Red Velvet.
Well, apparently they got the Red Velvet cupcakes back at Starbucks… sort of.

Project 365: Sneakerhead Rehab
Day 3 of sneakerhead rehab and I’m gonna pull out something kinda interesting from the archives: this would actually be my 2nd pair of KOBEs.  First pair is the all-star Huarache 2k4s.  This one is the all-star Zoom Kobe Is from 2006.  This is also the model that he rocked 81 in, so there’s a double importance to this shoe.
Also of note, this is the shoe that broke the shoe fast I put myself on after I left Niketown.  It was the first pair of kicks I actually bought from Kicks/HI that wasn’t a sale rack shoe.
2010 is marking a return to prominence for me, I feel. Time to own up to it.

Project 365: Sneaker Addiction
After the past couple of days obsessing over sneakers, I think that 2010 might mark the return of me being a sneakerhead.
As if this obsession wasn’t bad enough, I’m actually revisiting a lot of kicks I haven’t rocked in a while.  Yesterday marked the return of the Kashima 360s… tomorrow might either be Rejuvenation Pack 360s or white/red Air Max 180s…
And the shot here… besides the 2 Air Max boxes on the left, my collection of LeBrons.
Yes, I have more LeBrons that most people have just regular shoes in their rotation.
This is but a fraction of what I actually have. Who knows what other treasures I might pull up in the last days of 2009?

Project 365: (red) laces
This was part of my Christmas Gift to myself this past year: a set of Nike Product (Red) laces.  Worn earlier this year by numerous footballers in Europe and KOBE in the NBA, these laces are part of the initiative to stop the spread of AIDS in Africa.
Gonna rock these on some low white LeBron II.  I think that should work.

Project 365: Nineteen
It was a pretty dope Christmas at the Domingo house this year. Dad loved his Lakers polo shirt that I gave, but it didn’t help out with the Lakeshow at Staples.
Drawing inspiration from that, I did manage to make me a pair of Nike iD’s of the new Zoom KOBE V.
But, that wasn’t the only pair of kicks I got this Christmas.  I got blessed by these 19 hole CHucks from @Miss_Cher.  They look super clutch with the black laces and the fact that I don’t necessarily need to untie these in order to take them off is even more of a benefit.
I look forward to rocking these once the weather starts to clear up more.
In the meantime, rainy day beaters it is.

Project 365: Merry CHRISTmas.
Of course, we can never take a straight family photo. Jermy with the cheesy face, Dad picking up my Grandma’s cane, Mom paying attention to something BEHIND the camera, and me holding a plate full of cookies.

Project 365: The Cookie Monster
Yesterday marked the debut of my Christmas gift: The Cookie Monster laptop sleeve.
It comes from the awesome people of Barry’s Farm.
Gotten a LOT of compliments about it already.  Definitely beats the stock sleeve I was rocking before (and is also pictured in the shot). Nothing beats a blue, furry laptop cover and someone holding it.
Very attention grabbing.

Project 365: Happy Dryer System
Apparently, you need to make sure that you don’t kink the dryer hose underneath or behind the dryer, otherwise it’ll develop a face and make the universal choke symbol and face.
Who knew that there was such a learning curve with new dryers?
Also, the angry faces just do it for me.

Project 365: Santa’s Helpers
Went to the mall today and happened to stumble onto the pictures with Santa display.  Apparently, the idea of making a “Hawaiian” version of Santa (aloha shirt, permanent shaka, pidgin accent) has also translated to the elves as well, as now you ahve these kinda strange looking creatures manning the entrance to Santa’s lair and picture den.
I guess adding animated movements to these things are meant to scare the kids and help them feel relieved that they’re taking pictures with Santa?
Whatever the case, these things are funny and creepy at the same time.

That’s good enough for me.
My sister makes the dopest cookies. As is evident by this shot with @dainzers grabbing one of each.

Project 365: The Christmas Photo
This was taken yesterday at the BBQ Throwdown and Spelling JAMBAROO at atypicalLIVING Headquarters.
This was quite the interesting shot.  I used the Nikon on a tripod and remote shutter the shot. Yes, that’s why my right hand is gripping something in the shot.   Unfortunately, not everyone was in there, which I’m kinda bummed about, but we got a good portion of everyone there.
When worse comes to worse, my peoples come first.
These… are my peoples.

Project 365: Winter Break
…and with this notification, I have completed all the requirements of me for this Fall 20-09 Semester.
As far whether or not it’s been successful is now in the hands of my professor.
I think it’s been good, but we shall see in a few days.
Thanks everyone for making 2009 so memorable. I’m looking forward to doing a compilation of Project 365 in a few days… should be interesting to look back…
