A LOT of that stuff is the same similar items that are posted on blogs like hypebeast and highsnobiety. I don’t see how any of that is “hipster”. Why would they use the name “hipsterist”? I don’t know any hipsters that would be caught dead in half the stuff posted on these hype type of blogs. What’s REALLY funny is that I’ve met one of these guys before. When listening to his pitch of his site, the only thing that I could think of is: they’re doing a similar site to mine (but without the strictly Hawaii stuff only policy). Also made me feel kinda prideful because I’ve been running atypicalLIVING since 2005 and ONLY NOW are people catching on to the concept. Finally, where’s the updates? I’m all about getting Hawaii coverage and all, but no updates since February is a bit odd. Hope they can get back on it soon. More sites from Hawaii = better exposure.
