Project 365: All-Star Game Voting
So, as I was watching the Lakers bench blow a 1700 point lead against the Knicks, it got me to thinking about the All-Star game this year, and who I’d throw in there. This is an early ballot, of course, so don’t think this will be the ONLY time I’m doing an all star vote. This of this as my 18% of the season done All-Stars.
Carmelo & Dirkus Circus have matching 10-4 records and are arguably the best player on their respective teams. That has to be rewarded.
Steve Nash is doing so much more with less, now that they excised Shaq from their offense and went back to the run n’ gun Phoenix Suns of a few years ago.
KOBE is KOBE, and most people would agree that that’s enough to make an all-star team, but Bynum is arguable one of the better centers in the West, he gets the nod because his team is tops of the league.
Bosh, LeBron, and Wade are having monster season, all leading to them meeting up in New York or Miami next season and owning the rest of the East.
Superman’s team is leading the East, and have done it all without T.I. (Rashard Lewis) and his freaky goatee for the first 10 games.
Finally, you might be asking about Mike Bibby. I needed to show the ATL some love because of their 11-3 record. Well, I would have put Josh Smith or Joe Johnson, but would you put either one of them ahead of Bosh or LeBron? Didn’t think so. So, I honored the floor general of the Hawks.
Finally, my write-in vote was for Brandon Jennings. Yes, Young Money got my vote to be part of the All-Star game because… well, the Bucks ARE 8-4 and 5th in the East. With essentially the same lineup as last year, minus Villanueva. I think Young Money got a little to do with that.
And that’s my explanation for everything. Feel free to argue this one.
