This. Just blew my mind. Happy to see that someone is pushing the envelope with web-based tech. Need to utilize the FrankenMacBook for more cloud computing.
Google demonstrates the power of the upcoming HTML5 video standard with this video player, exactly the same as the regular Youtube one but generated entirely with HTML - no Flash necessary.
Not certain what browsers support this. The new Firefox doesn’t, Chromium doesn’t, Safari 4 does, but that’s only on the Mac. I heard Windows might not have it at all. Still satisfying to see that Google’s pushing ahead with web technologies.
