I finally figured out why I love listening to mixes.
Besides the lazy factor of the songs blending together, I think it’s mostly the idea that my short attention span is served by the constant switching of songs. The essence of the song, if you will.
Another thing I noticed was that I happen to have no less that 7 different “Valentine’s Day” mixes. Kind of a handy thing to have around on this… the day of Valentine’s. It’s another year of riding solo, so I guess I’m gonna be spending Valentine’s Day with my favorite person. Which isn’t so bad. Haven’t had a ME day in a while.
Yeah, that sounded as awkward in my head as well.
Anyway, listening to these mixes makes my mind wander into places that, frankly, I don’t want to go to. Life is moving quickly again and the tides are shifting. The need to make moves has become more apparent now and I feel like I’m in need something new. Not too sure what that means, whether it’s a change of scenery, a change of gear, a change of style, or an addition of someone…
Whatever it is, it feels like it needs to happen soon. Golden moments only last for so long before the door closes. Take every advantage and make everything move right.
But for now, headphones on, music up, eyes open. Opportunity knocks, just want to be there to say hello.
